Alternative data built on workforce signal that moves before the earnings call.
Alternative data for hedge funds only earns its place in a model if it moves before the number it's supposed to predict. Hiring velocity and executive movement do that. They shift ahead of an earnings call or a press release, not alongside it. We track workforce and company signal across public tickers and 40M active companies, in one schema, refreshed hourly, so a fund can screen public and private opportunities off the same underlying data.

The record as it stood, not as it stands.
Every field is versioned and timestamped, so a historical state is queryable, not just the current one. Pick a date and the record re-reads as it stood then, alongside what the company had actually disclosed by that day.
Finance, legal and IR postings went 1 → 12 across those twelve months. The filing landed at the end of it. That is the whole reason a fund backtests against point-in-time data rather than today’s record.
Illustrative company · representative of the production indexAlternative data that earns its place in a model.
For a fund, the value isn't that the data exists, most providers have some version of it. The value is whether it moves ahead of the number it's meant to predict, and whether it's verifiable enough to go into a model.
Hiring velocity moves before the earnings call
A company scaling engineering or sales headcount is committing real budget to growth before that growth shows up in a quarterly number. Executive and personnel movement carries the same kind of signal, a wave of departures or a key hire often precedes a strategic shift by a quarter or more, not after it's announced. We track both continuously, refreshed hourly, so the signal is available while it's still leading, not once it's already priced in.
Public and private companies, tracked in one schema
Most funds run two separate workflows: one data source for public tickers, another patchwork for private companies, if private coverage exists at all. We track public tickers and 40M active companies in the same schema, so a screen or a model doesn't have to treat public and private opportunities as two different data problems.
The hiring pattern that shows up before an S-1
Hiring in finance, legal, and investor relations functions tends to tick up ahead of a filing, well before an S-1 becomes public. Executive hires in those same functions are an even sharper signal, a company doesn't bring on a general counsel or a head of IR without a reason. Both show up in workforce data months before the public announcement does.

Built on three datasets, one resolved record.
Where this shows up in a real product.
- Workforce Intelligence. Executive and personnel movement, hiring velocity, ahead of an earnings call or press release.
- Public + Private Screening. public tickers alongside 40M active companies, one schema.
- Pre-IPO Signal. Finance, legal, and IR hiring as an early read on a filing, months ahead of an S-1.
- Deal Screening & Due Diligence. Check a growth claim against job postings and hiring velocity before taking it at face value.
- Technographic Signal. Technology adoption as corroborating evidence alongside workforce data.
Verifiable by the timestamp, not by taking our word for it.
Job postings refresh hourly, with history back to 2021, long enough to see a real pattern instead of a single snapshot. Every field carries a timestamp, so update cadence isn't a claim to take on faith, it's checkable against the data itself, and historical states of a record are queryable this way too.
