268M+ developer profiles indexed · 2.6B+ repositories since 2022

Real developer activity, sourced straight from the people actually shipping code.

MixRank indexes public developer profiles and repositories directly, then matches activity across public code-hosting and Q&A platforms, so you can see the languages, frameworks, and repos behind the title, refreshed hourly across 2.6B+ repositories.

Why teams pick MixRank

Where developer data goes deeper.

01

The repo, not just the profile

MixRank indexes languages, frameworks, stars, forks, and commit activity from the repos themselves, so you can search on what someone actually ships, not a self-written bio.

02

Matched across public developer platforms

Developer activity is matched across public code-hosting and Q&A platforms by username, links, and other public identifiers, so reputation and expertise sit alongside raw output.

03

Resolved across the full graph

Every developer profile resolves against MixRank's broader dataset, so you can see which engineers work where, and what they build with.

Identity resolution

Four handles, one developer.

The same engineer shows up under different names on every platform. MixRank matches those public identities into a single record, so the reputation, the output, and the stack all sit together.

A single account is a partial view. Matched across public code-hosting and Q&A platforms by username, profile links, and commit metadata, one developer resolves to one record, not four disconnected fragments.

Illustrative resolution. Handles are fabricated; MixRank matches only public identifiers and shows no private data. Not a specific developer.

Skill fingerprint

The stack a developer actually ships.

Not a self-written skills list. MixRank infers the language mix straight from a developer's public repositories, then reads the commit rhythm alongside it, so expertise is measured by output, not by claim.

Two developers can both write “full-stack” on a profile. Only the repositories show that one ships mostly systems Rust and the other lives in TypeScript, and how consistently.

Field coverage

What we actually track on a developer.

Field coverage mapped against the accounts you actually chase: technical recruiting, competitive intel, and OSS ecosystem research.

Teams we built this for

One dataset, several jobs.

The teams below query the same underlying profiles, just through different lenses.

Talent & recruiting

Source engineers by what they build.

Filter by language, framework, and repo activity, not just a job title on a resume. See real output before a first call.

Competitive intel

Track a competitor's engineering bets.

See which languages and frameworks a company's engineers use in public repos, and how that mix shifts over time.

OSS ecosystem research

Map adoption of a library or framework.

Find every public repo and developer using a given dependency, and how fast it's spreading across the ecosystem.

Data infra & CRM

Enrich records with real skill signal.

Stream matched developer profiles through MixRank's developer data API into whatever CRM, workflow tool, or platform your customers already use.

Investment intel

Read engineering signal before it's public.

Public developer activity across a company's engineers is an early read on technical direction and team growth.

Developer tools & platforms

Find your actual user base.

Identify developers already using adjacent tools or languages your product targets, ranked by real activity.

The difference

Real signal beats self-reported bios.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Where does developer data come from?
MixRank indexes public developer profiles and repositories directly, then matches activity across public code-hosting and Q&A platforms by username, links, and other public identifiers. Nothing here comes from private data or paid platform access.
Why is the company field fill rate lower than other fields?
A developer's company field is self-reported and optional on most platforms, so a meaningful share of profiles leave it blank. MixRank reports that gap directly instead of folding it into one aggregate completeness number that hides where it actually is.
How often does the data refresh?
Every subscriber gets the same hourly refresh cadence at one flat price, no tier to upgrade into for faster updates.
Can I match this to your company or people datasets?
Yes. Every developer profile resolves against MixRank's company and people datasets, so you can see which engineers work where, and what they build with.
Is this a login/dashboard product?
No. Data is delivered as a raw feed via the developer data API, flat file, or hosted database, on MixRank's own infrastructure, for teams that already have data tooling and want the source data, not another UI.
