FG Location: My Verizon wants to use your location to provide you with news about promotions and events, to help you locate Verizon stores and device training workshops and appointments near you, to check nearby inventory, and for network planning and support purposes even when you are not using the app. For example, we could let you know about international calling plan options when you are in an airport, or let you know of a Verizon promotion near an event.

FG/BG Location: My Verizon uses your device location to enhance your network experience and store interactions. We'll let you know about any events happening, what store inventory might look like, or even help you find the nearest store. We'll also be able to personalize your experiences with us by providing you with relevant, real-time promotions from local retailers - or a Verizon travel offer if you're near an international airport. If you allow it, we'll also collect location information even when you're not using the app
